Top Tips During Free Time
Kids have lots of "free" time after school, at weekends and during school holidays. These provide ideal opportunities for you to participate in some form of physical activity:
- Invite your friends over and spend more time playing outside
- Arrange games in the local park or playground
- Make a kite with your friends and fly it together
- Check-out what after-school clubs are available in your area
- Visit your local community center or swimming pool
- Go for a walk, cycle or swim at the weekend
- Join a local summer camp or sports club
- Participate in several sports, not just one
- Remember, as part of being active, it is also important that you eat well and have plenty of sleep
